Our Leeds branch is at the heart of our operations in the North, and we are proud of our commitment to quality, service, and expertise. We are looking for a motivated Timber Sales Executive - Internal to join our friendly team and play a key role in driving our continued success.

    The Role

    As a Timber Sales Executive - Internal, you will be pivotal in managing and growing our customer base by providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge. You will work closely with your colleagues to drive sales and ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery. This role is perfect for someone who has a good attitude/work ethic, enjoys building strong relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for timber.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage incoming customer enquiries and provide expert advice on timber, in particular Hardwood, Engineered and Modified Timber.
    • Generate sales by proactively contacting existing and potential customers to promote products and services.
    • Prepare and process orders accurately, liaising with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
    • Maintain and update customer records and sales reports using company systems.
    • Collaborate with external sales representatives to identify new business opportunities and support customer retention.
    • Stay up to date with product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activity.
    • Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards satisfactory resolutions.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the timber, distribution, or building materials industry.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM or sales systems.
    • Enthusiasm for the industry and a willingness to learn about timber products and applications.
