Role Overview

As a Driver at Lathams Limited, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods across our service areas. We are looking for someone who is punctual, courteous, and conscientious with a strong focus on customer service and road safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely loading, transporting, and delivering goods to various locations within agreed timeframes.
• Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintaining accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Adhering to all health and safety standards and road traffic laws.
• Assisting warehouse staff with loading and unloading duties as required.
• Managing routes efficiently to optimise fuel consumption and delivery times.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type to be driven.
• Proven experience as a driver, ideally within Distribution & Warehouse or a related industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Purfleet-on-Thames and surrounding areas.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading duties.
