Salary: £29,724.50 per annum

Shifts: 06:00 - 15:00 and 13:00 to 22:00 (rotating shifts, one week day shift, the next week back shift)

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse activities. This hands-on position is essential to maintaining our high standards of service, handling goods efficiently, and supporting our day-to-day distribution processes. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming stock and materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet trucks (training provided if necessary).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory management to ensure stock accuracy.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to meet operational targets.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the Warehouse Manager promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks including lifting and moving stock safely.
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings.
• Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards at all times.
